Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects - Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Analyze project costs and develop detailed cost breakdowns - Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities - Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive estimates - Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures as needed - Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful project execution Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Proven experience in construction estimating or related field - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques - Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as HeavyBid - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Familiarity with contract documents and legal requirements Note:
